Amery's Price is Right

On Saturday, August 12th, 2023 from 10am-4pm for every $20 someone spends at an Amery Community Club business, they will receive a special card. There are no exclusions to this. It doesn’t matter if the business is in city limits or not. It doesn’t matter if they buy a car, beers, groceries, art, medicine, an insurance policy, gas, a casket, lunch, ANYTHING from an ACC member-for every $20-they get a card. At 4pm cards will be brought to Michael Park and holders of the cards, will write their names on the cards and register to play “Amery’s Price is Right” …Over the summer a set replicating one of America’s favorite game shows will be constructed by volunteers. At 4pm, food trucks and a beer stand will open in the park. At 5:15, the first five contestants will be called to “Come on down!” to bid on actual products from Amery stores. The closest bidder will play a real Price is Right Game. This will happen six times, with two-wheel spins and one Showcase Showdown. The more you spend in Amery that day, the more of a chance you have to play!

Corporations and Chambers of Commerce across the nation have been contacted about this idea and have agreed to jump on board. We wanted a promotion to boost business in Amery, without asking business owners for anything. We understand that businesses in town already get asked for so much. There could be some quite valuable cash and prizes won and we hope Amery businesses see record setting sales that day. All ACC businesses will have posters on their doors so shoppers know they are a participating business. We will also have lists of ACC business attached to some of the advertising and on our ACC website.

The show will be done by 6:30. A band will take the stage at 7:30 and play until 10:30. Also, Local “Amery Celebrities” will be announcing and modeling products during the show.

While corporations have signed on to donate, very few of them actually want credit for it, their companies have a certain amount they donate each year. We are prepared to advertise in many ways, so if you are a local business who wants to donate in some way, we do still have some opportunities that would provide huge advertising for your business, please contact April for more information. Otherwise save the date, get your businesses staffed up, and start studying prices.

What we are going to do to participate??

* From 10am-12pm: We are going to take PRE-ORDERS for take-and-bake Dutch Apple Pies at $20 each to be made in the fall when apples become more abundant. We have a maximum limit of 100 pies to be sold. First come first serve.

* Pre-book and pay for rentals up to July 31, 2024. (Restrictions apply)

*  New memberships for 2023 & 2024.

* Upgrading your membership to Patron status for $20 or more per person.

What are we going to need from our members?

Supplies for pies:

·We can start making pie crusts and the Dutch topping as soon as we get some     supplies so we can have them ready to go when the apples come into     season.

9" Aluminum pie plates

· Flour

· Sugar

· Butter

· Brown sugar

· Cinnamon

· Nutmeg

·     APPLES…do you have an apple tree that you could share apples with us? (I want this to be a successful fundraising event for us and the less I have to spend on supplies the better.)

And Last but certainly NOT least…. TIME. We are going to need a lot of volunteers to make pies for us, especially if we need to make 100 pies
